ISLAMABAD (December 25 2003): The last date for filing of Income Tax returns and deposit of tax in company cases is December 31, 2003. In order to facilitate the taxpayers in filing of tax returns, the Government of Pakistan has decided that Income Tax offices will remain open till 7 pm on December 31.
For convenience of the taxpayers, all the branches of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and authorised branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will remain open till 6 pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 for accepting the deposits of Income Tax.
It is reiterated that last date of filing of income tax returns would not be extended beyond the due date.
Return forms are abundantly available at all stations. Complaints, if any, regarding non-availability of return forms, may be directed either to the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) or the Regional Commissioner concerned for redressal.
