NEW DELHI: If you were to believe PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the market for satellite broadband equipment in India is expected to grow almost five times to 1.10 lakh units in the next five years, primarily driven by applications such as distance education and internet.
The report says the market would be driven by new applications such as banking and finance, gaming, and rural connectivity besides internet.
The report pointed out that over the last year the industry had benefited greatly from increased adoption of IT and non-IT “old economy” companies, favourable regulations and overall macro economic business confidence.
