Joe Berardino, former chief executive of the now-collapsed Big Five firm Andersen, has opened up Berardino & Associates LLC – described as a “transitional” office – to help coordinate his various consulting and speaking engagements.
“I'm looking into some entrepreneurial things and also want to give back to the profession,” he told WebCPA. He reports that he's had some “feelers' but, he quipped, “I guess I first want to see what I want to do when I grow up.”
Berardino stepped down as Andersen CEO in March 2002 in the wake of the Enron audit scandal. The New York office of Andersen will officially close April 30.
