ISLAMABAD (March 12, 2013) – ACCA Pakistan (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and RCCI (Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry) signed a Memorandum of Understanding last week to work together to support the business community by building its capacity and capability.
The collaborative initiative will be in sharing research, policy views, training and development of business functions in large as well as small and medium size enterprises in Rawalpindi.
The agreement was signed by Mr Manzar Khurshid, President RCCI and Mr Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan at the RCCI premises. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Manzar Khurshid said that the partnership between RCCI and ACCA will serve to benefit the business community. ACCA’s work Research and Insights is a great example of thought leadership to promote innovation through policy and dialogue. The relationship between ACCA and RCCI will be able to further strengthen businesses financial management and strategic functions.
“Businesses will need to be better prepared to anticipate and respond to the unprecedented challenges of a changing global economy”, said Mr Arif Masud Mirza. He said that the need for professional human resource particularly in the finance function has increased tremendously during the economic crisis globally including Pakistan and the collaboration between ACCA and RCCI will address these challenges through greater integration between our stakeholders and institutions in Karachi.
The ceremony was also attended by senior officials from ACCA Pakistan and Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
