KARACHI (June 28 2003) : The State Bank has invited suggestions and views on Draft Prudential Regulations for Consumer Finance, it said on Friday.
The State Bank has formulated a separate set of Prudential Regulations for consumer finance in order to encourage the banks to diversify their loan portfolio through creation of new products on the one hand, and on the other, to ensure that banks undertake consumer finance in a prudent manner.
The State Bank invited suggestions and views on these Draft Prudential Regulations from all the stakeholders, particularly bankers, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), associations, businessmen, academics, accountants and members of general public.
