KARACHI (August 06 2003) : The Muslim Commercial Bank and Tripack Films Ltd, (a Pakistan – Japan Joint Venture) signed a Rs 1.0 billion term finance deal on August 02, 2003 for financing of the latter's BOPP Line – 3 Expansion Project of 16,000 tonnes at Industrial Zone, Port Qasim, Karachi.
Mohammad Aftab Manzoor, President, MCB and Shahid Husain, MD, Tripack Film Ltd, signed the agreement.
Tripack Films Ltd, is the largest producer of BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film in Pakistan.
BOPP is a pre-stretched film, which can be clear and transparent like glass that is used extensively for biscuits and cigarette packaging over wrap, food products, medicines, confectionery, adhesive tape, metalising and lamination.
