ISLAMABAD (September 13 2003): Central Board of Revenue's top tax manager Vakil Ahmed Khan clarified here on Friday that the traders associations raised some objections about new income tax return forms, which were removed in consultation with the business community.
“Now, the government is not considering any proposal to extend the date of filing of income tax returns,” he said, adding, “the last date of filing of return is September 30.”
Member Direct Taxes and spokesman of CBR further said that the return forms are already available since July 12, 2003 in the markets and office premises, therefore no such proposal for extension in the date of filing of return is under consideration.
Furthermore, the return form has also been made available on CBR's website i.e. www.cbr.gov.pk, Vakil added.
