KARACHI (August 20, 2009) – ACCA reports that a record number of students sat for their examinations in June 2009 with 187,335 candidates taking a total of 370,715 papers around the world. This compares with 182,449 students taking 365,528 papers in December 2008.
The exam results, issued recently show that 5,416 students have successfully completed their final examinations to become ACCA affiliates.
Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan said: “We are delighted to see that the ACCA Qualification is maintaining steady growth, particularly in the current global economic environment and that it continues to be well received by employers, tuition providers and candidates. Globally, there has been a notable improvement in the pass rate for the Performance Management paper (F5) this session which is a positive development. This follows on from initiatives that we put in place for this paper, including focused train the trainer resources. We are delighted with the results of these efforts.”
