KARACHI (August 08 2003) : The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday increased the number of primary dealers by including four new members for 2003-04.
The total number of primary dealers have reached 11 after inclusion of United Bank, Pak Oman Investment Company Limited, Bank Alfalah Limited and Jahangir Siddiqui and Co Limited.
The other members are American Express Bank, Habib Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Union Bank, ABN Amro Bank N.V., National Bank of Pakistan and Citibank N.A.
The State Bank has issued a circular, saying that the above institutions have been selected to act as primary dealers for the financial year 2003-04.
