ISLAMABAD (September 09 2003) : Member Direct Taxes, Central Board of Revenue (CBR), Vakil Ahmed Khan has said that the government is not considering any proposal to extend the date of filing of income tax returns ie September 30, 2003.
He conveyed to the taxpayers particularly business community that no extension in the date of filing of returns is under consideration and taxpayers are reminded to file returns at earliest.
Vakil said that the government has approved new income tax return forms for individual/ Association of Persons and Companies.
The new forms are almost similar to the previous with minor changes of editorial nature.
Wealth statement forms have also been approved.
All these forms are available in the market/office premises.
Return Receipt Centres have been established to facilitate the taxpayers in filing the returns, Vakil added.
