Hmm... ok SMR. thnx to let me know.
And congratulations once again. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nadia, nobody is proud or unhelpful. Its just that us karachiites are more in numbers on this board than lahorites. Lahorites mashallah are as helpful and supportive as anybody else.

I just had this thought about comparative cost of living in different cities of Pakistan and have opened another thread in the 'Careers' section where i would like you all to give your opinions for the benefit of other members.

Hehehe.... Bowman and Smh

dont know about the old Sidat Hyder office in Lahore, but i sure can vouch for the Karachi office that there were quite a large number of girls working as trainees during my articleship and the atmosphere was also quite nice.

Dear All

I am now XBRL from smh. And i am obviously an addition from Lahore a city of dreams ahuumm

Well when i was in mu foundation stage i was very much interested in making a website. I planned it with my friend then studying in FAST. My plan was to introduce Subject wise courses online plus online suggestion portal with web based white board and an online co-ordinator arranging for the e-meeting....also i thought of introducing subscription fee ... etc etc pretty childish at that age of 18 any way the reason of all this (bakwass) is that i wanna openly appreciate this website and would always be willing towards the development side. There are a lot of sugestions which should be helpful in respect of Students counselling, advisory, sharing and resolving issues etc.. any way

Once again i appreciate the founders and contributing members. Having joined since january i have just posted 2 times. one for i dunno why and one for Nadia's Issue. This is the third time.

See ya all
And do visit Lahore once.. I will be willing to recomend the beauty of Lahore.

Allah Hafiz

this is regarding Ed.... u say its easier to get into a top firm in lahore than karachi cause of the larger number of stundents in karachi....... this is only for guys,,, girls are usually welcomed in our firms because of their dearth in our profession.

I know lots of people they say certain firm(s) dont have any ladies trainees while infect they have and when you give them references the reply is 'excluding "not boys"'

at the time of merger I guess SHQ did have ladies in the firm, though they were late to start having ladies trainees (have heard that it was after Anderson insisted on their 'equal opportunity' image.

Me rulz

AOA,

Well dear paki, I never said that getting into a top firm in Lahore is easier, I rather said that its tougher, coz the positions available in Karachi are much more than the no. of positions available in Lahore.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Tahoma, Arial" id=quote>quote<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>Though, bear in mind, getting into a big firm in Lahore is tougher than in Karachi coz of the larger in-take of students in Karachi.

I, do, however agree that circumstances/oppurtunities r different for males & Females. I have not yet been able to Comprehend that why is that induction of Females into employment, makes an organization an "Equal oppurtunity Employer"....The crieteria should be that of "Open Merit & Competition" & not gender-based or 'biased'!
