Mr Vital,
I am not saying that CA-inter will be paid more in industry as ofcourse there will also be minimum stipend rule of ICAP. But training opportunities for the students will increase which will save them from being exploited by the CA firms. CA firms know that they are the first and last resort of students so they take undue advantage of this thing.
Any how will industrial training option be available to students already under training in CA firms?

industrial training will provide more opportunities to students and i agree with toronto boy that those trainees will not have audit license and they will work in industry sector.

Ya, I do not know why do we think that only audit firms can provide good training? ICAEW is world's renowned institute and this allows training in following non auditing firms

ICAP must also consider such big corporate entities for training.

Ya, audit experience is of good value but 3.5 years in audit only is not fair because in job we are not to conduct only audits. World is not like past, a managerial post now requires multiple skills from a person. Not every CA is to practice audit,tax etc so ICAP must have provision of industrial training, so that the students are also trained in the environment in which they have to work for rest of their career.

Ofcourse ICAEW would have some MOU etc. with them. Do not know how many trainees are there at current.

yes ICAP should allow training in industry. Avais Hyder of Lahore is not inducting any students at all at this time. They say that they will induct students in next mid-year. It is better to get training in industry than in small firms.

Industrial training provides you the actual job environment and specilay Managemet skills which truely speaking ICAP CAs lack.
