Dear Vital,

As for as Amal is concerned I am fully agreed with you that we all should obtain reasonable knowledge of Quran and Sunnah so that no Aalim, Mohadis or Sheikh can make us fool so easily and divide us in sects and we should practice Islam in our Life in accordance with Quran and Sunnah before Islah (Tableegh) to other Muslims.

I am not agreed with you regarding "Debate" as debate with open mind and without deciding in advance not to leave your stance at all, is a healthy approach towards better understanding of issues. If someone is doing wrong and we are not willing for a healthy debate how can we correct him?. Ok, we should not take care of him he may do any thing wrong on his own accord. So, what the Islahi Jamat ( Tableeghi Jamat) is doing? they should offer prayers for themselves why they are going door to door?. Do you agree with that?

I think they are doing a good job and everyone should do it in his own capacity and circle but despite these fact we should not focus on personalities only.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadyani was a renowned and famous scholar of his time and still has number of followers all over the world. (Dmagh ka paich dheela hoa or ool fool baknay laga). Ahmadies are believing and following his books blindly then who we are to say that they are doing wrong?. The main reason of dividing into sects is beveling on personalities blindly I have quoted one example you may think about leader of other sects too. Its our duty to urge the muslims to obtain reasonable knowledge of Islam by themselves and not to believe on any Aalim blindly and do ask for authentic reference always.

Dear ciapk

I totally agree with you and most of the things said in this thread. I also agree with your definition of Debate.

I should have explained my definition of debate.

By Debate I mean unnecessary disagreement, division into sects or even quarrel

Yes we should not believe in any Aalim blindly.

Sarfraz, In majority of cases your observation seems correct. Anyway, there are uncountable noble men of ALLAH on the earth as well.

I just recalled a joke where someone having an aptitude like our certain religious fellows, saw something written in ARABIC language on a wall and was so fascinated, inspired and religiously amused and absorbed that he started reciting SUBHANALLAH, MASHALLAH, JAZAKALLAH. The text written on that wall was merely an advertisement.

So, the lesson concluded is that every name, designation, or text written or spoken in ARABIC does not NECESSARILY mean that it is so worthy to even shutter down the blinds of our eyes and brain. Some of our fellows have a habit to intervene the discussions using some ARABIC WORDS/TERMS (never found in Holy Quran and Sahi Ahadees) and concluding/ordering to shutter down all openings of ray of understanding and knowledge.

ALLAH has created many sacred personalities and things for us; yet declaring a Cow as SACRED leads the nations to disasters. Some of the disasters the whole Muslim Nation is facing, and we the so-called heart of Islamic World are undergoing the worst disasters of the ages since a long time; one after the other, and this chain goes on and on.

No one understood the reasoning, from the times of HAZRAT ADAM A.S., before or while going through such a phase, except for HAZRAT YOUNAS A.S.’s nation. (up to my knowledge).

Regards,
