CA after ACCA - logicalbanda - 01-31-2005 ASALAM O ALAIKUM can we do CA after ACCA and pls can any one tell me what is the procedure to do so that how much exemptions will be offered in CA after doing ACCA AND IF WE DO CA AFTER ACCA IS IT NOT BETTER THAN DOING SIMPLE CA ONLY pls guide me if u can ALLAH HAFIZ Edited by - logicalbanda on Jan 31 2005 124734 AM - bilal azhar - 01-31-2005 yes u can do ca after acca.full ca inter(upto module D) is exempt to ACCA passed students. And the reason why people want to do ca only after acca is that ca is by far more difficult as compare to acca.so after passing acca not only u get a degree but also exemption from ca inter. By the way i think that exemption available to acca passed students from ca inter is totally unfair.although acca students study a lots of different subjects at advanced level, but surely ca inter is more difficult than acca. bilal - maani - 01-31-2005 Its good idea to do CA after ACCA...but still impossible in Pakistan... I know 3 persons who complete CA inter...then do ACCA along with final examinations of CA... but i dont know any person who have completed ACCA first and then completed his CA...Do anybuddy know such person? its easy to talk about this stream...but its a tough task... The procedure for doing ACCA & than CA would be as follows (in ur specific case) - 1) Give CAT (1 yr, Its like a entry test for ACCA) 2) Give Part 2 & 3 Acca Papers (2 years, These are main ACCA papers.) 3) After passing, get exemptions from ICAP for Mod (A-D). 4) You will than have to do training for 3 years & during this time, u will be eligible to pass Mod E & F (ICAP) Papers. 5) Upon completion of all ICAP papers & ur training, u will be a CA & ACCA. Guys, how about having a CONSTRUCTIVE debate on this? I think we should first compare the syllabi (syllabus-es) & methodologies of ACCA & CA (Inter) before passing a verdict like this. I know, we have already debated too many times on ACCA vs CA, but we havent done an ACCA vs CA (Inter) analysis yet. So how abt it? I m posting a seperate thread for this, so if any of u guys wanna contribute plz post there.
quote
maani Its good idea to do CA after ACCA...but still impossible in Pakistan... Plz share them with us. - bilal azhar - 02-01-2005 INStead of comparing the syllubus we should compare the exam papers and its structure. There is not a huge difference in syllubus.in fact acca syllubus is more logical and conceptual than ca inter but the difference lies in paper levels. ICaps paper is far far more difficult than acca paper plus there is no choice and surety that one question will be out of the syllubus in almost every paper. bilal - logicalbanda - 02-01-2005
quote
Dear Logical, I dont think that a person who does CA after ACCA is treated differently than a person who does only CA (ICAP).
