ASSAlamualekum.
dear members i gave the sendup examination from ALHAMD.Im failed now and now im just thinking about to repeat or not .my age is 20 so after one year i will be able to get admission in ACCA ON MATURITY BASIS.SO GUIDE ME PLEASE WHICH OPTION IS BETTER?
OPTION 1
CAN I RPEAT CA MODULE A
OPTION 2
OR GETTING ADMISSION IN ACCA AT MATURITY BASIS
OPTION 3
CAN I RAET AND GET ADMISSION IN CMS.
PLEASE REPLY IMMEDIATELY.I THINK I SHOULD REPEAT BUT IM JUST THINKING ABOUT TO CHANGE RAET SO MEMBERS GUIDE ME PLEASE WHICH OPTION IS BETTER?

Salam
Brother, you should know first of all that all accounting qualification including CA, ICMA, ACCA or PIPFA in pakistan have similar paper standards; it means that if you cannot clear papers of one institute, you will also face difficulty in papers of other institute.

RAET only facilitate you in your preparations. Ultimate studies are done by students in all accounting qualifications. So changing RAET will not help you

You should evalute yourself that what are the reasons of your failure and if you think you can overcome your defeciencies, then you should try again or otherwise choose other Profession since RAET charges very high fees and it will be a burden on your parents.

I would recommend that you should first do graduation in commerce and then pursue your career in ICMA or ACCA or CA or Mcom.

And don't forget RAET charges high fees, and your parents have worked hard for paying that.

I will recommend u to stick with CA. Although considering the fact that you failed the entry test i will recommend you to overcome your deficiencies by practising hard and focusing more on the main Problem Areas.Live a normal life, dig out all the relevant material before hand and concentrate on the basic bits first. It is always a good idea to have an over view of the topic and it relevant facts. Dont forget to read the Examiners Comments. Complete the past papers and answers so u could have a thorough idea that what Examiner expects from you. You can make your notes in format of bullets if u have enough time. Do all the questions at least twice from your revision kit. Take as much mock exams as possible.Try as many as you can and grade yourself based on the exam marking per question. You need to practise to time and you will improve your scores.

YOU DO NEED AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE SUBJECT TO DO THIS!

But it'll help you score better

Dear Memon, I am agree with Krss and Desert Sleet,Especially comments and suggestions given by Krss and Desert Sleet
and if ICAP allow you try to attempt the ICAP Exam because sometime send-up exams cannot reflect your full potential and in the ICAP Exam your result may be quite different from what was in Send-up exams.
and Stick to CA as said by desert sleet.
and if you want to change the RAET who says to you about CMS Except Alhamd the two other better RAET in Karachi for Foundation according to my view point (which may be wrong) are TSA and CAMS but as per my experience CMS (Khalid Mehmood ka)is NOT a good institute for ICAP studies and I am not commenting on other courses offered by CMS.
and please read the above two posts again carefully and follow what is said by them and wait for other members replies.

Yaar memon just repeat Module A from Al_hamd and dont worry every faliure is the cause of Ur Success in life.I know many people who was unable to get clearance in first attempt but get success in upcoming modules straight away.Dont lose heart and be Brave .

Learn from the mistakes and weaknesses. But there is no benefit of frustraton or demotivation. Also this is useless to blame ICAP for tough results. One who wants to be a professional should be competent enough to pass tough exams.

As the say, one cannot appreciate vicotry unless they have tasted defeat. It will come, and it will be sweeter

AOA guys,
In my opinion there are two options that suits you best.

No.1
Go for CAT fist Pass it, you will exempted in 1.1 and 1.2 of ACCA, and then continue your ACCA.

No.2
Do B.com and then go for an ACCA.

By choosing these options you can get OBU Degee as well.
While in MSR you can not opted for OBU Degree, and dont go for CA it is much thougher then ACCA and besides ICAP passing criteria is still a mystery

By doing through MSR(mature student route) you can not opted for OBU(Oxford Brooks University Degree)so i suggest you do CAT first, 1yr is more then enought to pass CAT it even makes your background if your a science student plus you get 2 papers exemption in ACCA.
So the choice is your's, instead for going here and there make one target and go for it.
