Where to do articleship - Karachi or Islamabad? - anie - 10-15-2005
i have got an option either to stay in islamabad or to shift to karachi.Suggest me which option is the best for doing my articleship?

Aoa,
there r few things to be considered,
<font color="red"><b>Advantages</b></font id="red">
1Karachi is big city as compared to islamabad,so u have better opportunity at there ,i mean varity of audit,but in islamabad u enloy on UNO,s type audit
2almost all big firms head office in karachi, u will gain a higher knowledge in islamabad
<font color="red"><b>Distadvantages</b></font id="red">
1The normal life of karachi is very distrub,due to street crims,
2when u completed articles from karachi,u normal cant work in Punjab due to change of atmospher,
now compare the result,and decided what is better for u

In my point of view you should choose Islamabad. It is a city of peace. Keep in your mind that in this profession you might face exploitation and a tense environment, and also karachi is a city of tensions. ...it will be a tough job for you

I agree with Ammar that Karachi is the
best for articleship because of
1-Variety of work;
2-Large industry;
3-Head offices of multinational companies;
4-More service industries and
5-Ship industry which is not in Lahore or Karachi
etc.etc....
Islamabad is not good for articleship because there are mostly
multinational companies' offices which is not
suitable for CA
