UK CIMA student: Practical Experience- Daunting!!! - Phatboy - 02-05-2006

I am searching for my first "proper" hands on job in finance. I have over a years experience on bank recs, purchase ledger, coding invoices, analysis of trial balance etc.

But i am really commited to qualifying within three years, is this even feasible?
I have one exam left till i become a finalist and no proper core experience, i.e- variance, budgets, control accounts, making the trial balance.

What should i do? i dont want to be stuck in purchase ledger for a year.....

Will all my experience come in good time?

Surely it would be in an employers best interest to get me qualified asap if they are paying for my exams+study.

Apologies if i sound like a newbie, i have a sore head from over-thinking a lot...

I worry that i will still be in a basic accounts assistant role when i will only have TOPCIMA left to finish.
