If someone wants to know any help regarding Information Technology.. contact with me there..Thanks - the_farhan - 04-02-2006 one of my friend has done it, so i ve some info abt it. but i m not sure how far it is correct, so better go KU in economics dept n get real info. SUBJECTS COVERED very much the same as in MBA, including financial a/c, cost a/c, mgmt a/c, maths, statistics, organizational behavior, human resources mgmt, n many others. but especial thing is tht it covers much much more economics (monetary) n it paves ur way for jobs in financial institutions. REPUTATION reputation is great. no prob in jobs if u studied the courses perfectly n if u ve good understanding of all market players of financial sectors n their workings etc etc etc. JOBS better suited for banking, investments, n other financial institutions. but i dont think it is good for accountancy jobs. in companies, they r fit for treasury functions n corporate finance areas. COMPARED TO MBA (FINANCE) better thn MBA finance on the basis of topics n areas of finance n economics. but i dont know if MEF offers electives or not. but the electives offered in MBA for finance r really really very practical n each one is single-handedly viable for job. most good institutions for mba offer treasury&funds mgmt, portfolio mgmt, derivatives instruments, banking, etc subjects in electives. but i m not sure of MEF. MEF is new, but will get stable with time. however, MS (Finance) is gaining rapid attention n will dominate MBA(finance) or MEF in comming future. however, take ur own decisions. |
