Attention Double refr students - janasheen_m4u - 06-09-2006

i have heard that Icap has allowed a student with two credits in foundation or intermidiate to sit for the complete papers of foundation or intermidiate as the case may be..
as a student who has got one credit in module C can sit for the 2 refr papers of c + 4 papers of mod D...
if it is so...shall we dare to go for it??
plz plz.....debate on it..
cox may people like me ...really have to make this decision very soon....because very short time is left...for next attempt forms....

Janasheen i m ur janasheen in this. I hav two refers in module C and hav decided to go 4 all six(C and D) in autumn 2006 attempt. I am doin this does nt mean i suggest it to others. Such decisions are to be taken by oneself. But i m sure i can do it. Good Luck 4 both of us

yaar i wont recommend doing C & D in a single attempt
coz even if u get a refer in any of these 6 or 7 papers it means u r 2 lose a 6 moths period
and any thing bad , worse or worst can even happen in this course
so be calm n patient
give mod C n pass it
if u r free keep an eye on MOd D subjects alongwith C
then attempt D n pass it

As per my knowledge the first examination on these basis will held in March 2007...isn't it?
but attempting Module C and D combinely dosen't makes a good sense...Attempting module C, taking 3 papers, and passing 1...and then planning to attempt 6 papers including 4 papers of module D(the case with you) doesnt seems sensible...from now you got less than 3 months and 6 papers...divide the time you will have hardly 15 days for every subject...out of which cost accounting cant be prepared in 15 dayz...auditing and company law syllabus is also enough lengthy to take more than 15 days...along with that you have to prepare for your module C subjects that might include Financial/Taxtion...so they also need some good time for revision...along with that ICAP do not allow any intervals between your papers...taking 6 papers successively is altleast a tough job for me...do u find any solid reason to support your plans?

Thanks for both of you for atleast showing some concern.

Maani according to latest ICAP circular these changes are effective from Autumn 2006 attempt. (though I would confirm it)

Both of you are right, attempting two modules is a singe attempt is something no body would suggest. Maani’s approach is quite systematic. Before modular system in FTFC system the concept was same, although modular system has make things easier but students did use to pass in FTFC system.

I have two refers in Module C, FA and BCBS, and now am planning to appear in these two combinely with module D. If I had got one refer in that case I had to appear in 5 papers and now in six so it is not a very big difference. I was quite fed up of module C books so very desperately needed something new to study.

Making hard targets and then trying your best to achieve them is really fun. I had already wasted much time due to my kartoots and now trying to compensate.

The real problem is as I am a trainee student I don’t have time to talk coaching, this is really an issue.

Do pray for me
