Pls Help Regarding ACCA in Ireland,Its Urgent!!! - mrp_2002us - 06-13-2006

Hi n Salamz,
I am here for some serious guidance.Let me give u people a brief intro about myself.I have passed my Intermediate in 1999,since then I have been working in Accounts Deptt of a Software House. Now I am 26 yrs old.I am registering with ACCA as a Mature Student amd I am enrolling myself at BPP Dublin(Ireland) for coaching of ACCA,reason being there is no Interview for Ireland while now people r being rejected for London in huge numbers.I have made up my mind for Ireland.

1> Now I want to know which is the best place for coaching of ACCA in Ireland?

2>Can a person complete his Articleship in Ireland, bcuzz there might be a possibility that one can not do that bcuzz one goes to Ireland in student Visa which means he can work for 20 hrs/week,not more than that! while Articleship demands much more than that? Someone Pls Clarify.....

3>How people manage to stay much longer than periods they been granted VISA,thats one thing I havent understood yet, like I have never ever seen anyone returning to Pakistan when they move to places like UK,Ireland etc ..,Can some one pls put some light on that, pls clarify?????

4>Is it still true that to get a training contract from ICAEW registered firm is impossible or very very difficult?

5>I have two options in mind ,one is to do Bachelors in Finance and Accounting which will cost me around 18 lacs, which is definitely not affordable, but some consultant told me that students not only support themselves but send money back home, how in the world that could be poosible,is that true?

6>An educational consultant advised me to go for Bachelors in Australia from James Cook University,QLD,according to him studying in Australia has an edge over Ireland bcuzz one can easily get permanent residency in Australia while in Ireland one cant stay longer,is that true?

7>How much a person can earn in Ireland by working in a Odd-Job for 20 hrs/week?

Pls help me in that ,bcuzz I have little time left for me,I know I have asked way too many questions but I need to clarify each and every thing before taking any step ahead.........

I can only give answers of question 4 & 5.

4- yeah, thats true
5- the consultant's right. atleast as far as uk is concerned. usually family has to make initial investment, initial fees travel etc. i have cousin & some friends in the uk. now they are sending money back home.

3- not everyone stays there. i have seen a hell of people coming back.
