Articles in lahore - noman - 07-20-2006 i want to know which firm deals with telecoms...i am kind of interested in doing telecom audits...giving mod.D papers this attempt... when do they recruit students? in november and may afer results or after results also? like midway between results...i mean in jan,jun etc? also which firm is somewhat flexible regarding students? - XBRL - 07-22-2006 well let me explain their are broadly two kinds of telecoms The Land Line (PTCL and now WorldCall thru wireless) Cellular (Mobilink, Ufone, Telnor and Warid) AFF is known to be the telecom specialist due to the fact that they had been auditing PTCL for so many years. and PTCL is such a broad and wide enterprize to be understood (with revenues crossing 1.5 billion USD) Taseer Hadi audits world call. Now they are joint auditors with AFF for PTCL yet they audit only expenses and liabilities.. Mobilink with i guess taseer hadi, Warid AFF and for telenor i dont have an idea. bottom line is AFF and taseer have a good telecom experiance.... but in order to let u audit these they need to admit u too ) - XBRL - 07-22-2006 in almost all good firms recent induction has taken place. so call them and get to know when they will open up. also due to increase in competition and globalisation and automation, flexibility and a relaxation which in past days students used to have is gone. experts prevail over mediocers, margin of error is almost zero and individual importance is very difficult to establish or maintained.... every one talks abt big firm yet no one appreciates how a person needs to be commited in working in them. they all have global working papers and they use auditing softwares. so tie the belt if u r gonna enter. - noman - 07-23-2006 i have done modules A,B,C in first attempts....so i think worst possible is 2 attempts in module D... about flexibiity i meant comparative...i know that firm environment can't be flexible..what i wanted to know was which was "COMPARATIVELY' more flexible... thank you. - Schuaeb - 07-27-2006 Noman I don't have got exact answer to your question, but I want to know what is the reason for preffering a firm with more telecom audits? - noman - 07-27-2006 hhahah.....just i thought that telecom is emerging field so i might be better off knowing better about it.........also i am somewhat interested in computers and stuff like that...so i thought it might be a "little" interesting... apart from telecom audit.........could u tell which firm of top 4 is 'comparatively' flexible regarding students? - Schuaeb - 07-29-2006 First you have to decide that do you need a career in telecom field or accountancy. If your answer is accountancy then you should not confine yourself to telecom audits. I don't exactly understand what did you mean by flexibility regarding students. And, I have not got the experience of working in any of big 4. Now, just on the basis of what I have heard, it might be wrong. Following may be one of the orders in terms of flexibility. 1-MYASCO 2-FRSH 3-AFF 4-KTH The first one is the most and last one is the least flexible. - maani - 07-29-2006 Deloitte, flexible? hahahha Now I must say, Schuaeb, dont believe on whatever you heard...there is no flexibility in case of MYASCO...But believe me I like the working enviornment of Deloitte... - Karachi_Auditor - 07-29-2006 hi all.....i am from KMRSRIR...khalid majid rehman sarfaraz rahim iqbal rafiq..... any experience about deir ISB/LHR offices??? - XBRL - 07-29-2006 y r we getting astray the topic... its now close.. - Schuaeb - 07-30-2006 Hmm, Maani thanks for the information. This was just what I had heard, I also did mention that in my post. Maani you have got experience of only working in Yusuf Adil, others might be even worse. You are a new trainee, and that is the best part of ones articles, (just kiddin) I remember mine, I hope yours is not as worse as mine. |
