What Is The Reality?-->Parent Folder(Ep#1 to Ep#4) - Muhammad Amir - 04-20-2008 Dear Members, After some unethical statements of current ICAP students and their sordid propaganda against ACCA, its members and students, I am under an obligation to discharge my duties that I owe to my association in an ethical and professional way. I will post paper-to-paper comparison of both professional bodies based on past papers assessments in different threads like for example Episode#1 (Management Accounting Vs Advanced Performance Management). These are âMust Readâ Episodes for Mr. Shoaib, who on one occasion said that ACCA is just like B.Com and he further said that a B.Com who earns 8-10K is having no difference compare to an ACCA who earns as per his market analysis 12-15K. This is just an attempt to make people aware of realities and to protect potential students to save their future. Note ICAP is one of the prestigious accountancy bodies in the world that is serving the Accountancy Profession in Pakistan from 1961 its members are no doubt hardworking and we are proud of them but it does not mean that its current students are allowed to abuse any other professional body and its members. One of the senior members of this forum argued in some other thread that the difference between two bodies is just confined to finance and investment curriculum, he further explained that this is just confined to Options, Futures, Swaps and Forwards but in reality this is not just confined to Options, Futures, Swaps and forwards there are many other differences that I need to highlight. Regards, Muhammad Amir - Muhammad Amir - 04-20-2008 If you have read all the four episodes then you must have come to know that who are mere clerks [xx(] and who are strategists, analysts and professionals of dynamic accountancy environment. [^] The difference is not just confined to Investment or Finance section but it is apparent in Audit, Management Accounting, Financial Reporting (Episode#5[Work In Progress]) and Business Management. Marking Schemes, Assessment Criteria, Paper Balance, Subject Assessment Level, Professionalism in Approach and Presentation of papers of both bodies are available to you. For further details please see the last post (Reply#2) made in these particular threads. Regards, Muhammad Amir - Muhammad Amir - 04-20-2008 ACCA has devised the course in 3 Competency levels i.e. Level 1 asks from students to "List", "Define", "Identify" & "Calculate" this level only concerns Knowledge and Comprehension, Level 2 tasks concern Application and Analysis like "Contrast", "Explain" & "Discuss", Level 3 tasks concern Synthesis & Evaluation this includes "Constuct", "Evaluate", "Assess", "Formulate" & "Advise". ACCA Papers F1 to F3 require Level 1 Competence, F4 to F9 require Level 2 and in rare cases Level 3 Competences, P1 to P7 require Level 3 Competence and in rare cases Level 2. Regards, Muhammad Amir - kamranACA - 04-23-2008 MASHALLAH !!! Now people have to make such funny efforts to prove the things against the wind. Always keep in mind that the objective of my debate has ever been to explain what is more focussed, result oriented and better in worth for a student who is from the masses. From masses I mean, the student is not from the most priviliged part of society and is to be self made in essense. Never forget curriculum is never supposed to pay the returns. Whatever reasons you may conclude but it's the reality. Reality will never change whatever we portray. If you feel ACCA is good, remain doing it. No body wants you to leave. Now the business managers, strategic planners and bala bala are bigger words than your age. You don't even know what the meaning these terms have. Concentrate on your studies and don't make lame comparisons. Badi-E-Mukhalif Say Na Ghabraa Aye Ouqaab Yeh to Chaltie Hay tujhay Ounchaa Uraanay Kay Liay In your case these are funny efforts but for many people these are valueable efforts as some CA and ACCA students personally send me E-Mails and they praised me on these efforts.
quote
From masses I mean, the student is not from the most priviliged part of society and is to be self made in essense.

Dear Mr KamranACA, I think after completion of you studies you have not visited any tuition provider, i know what do you mean by saying above lines and if you are saying that ACCA students are from so called "priviliged class" then i am sorry to say that your assumptions are totally unrealistic because both fields require same costs to be incurred, infact some times CA become more costly than ACCA. I am of the opinion since my first day in this profession that students should not waste their very important time and hard earned money of their parents in something that is pre planned policy oriented instead they should join results oriented and demanding field.
quote
Now the business managers, strategic planners and bala bala are bigger words than your age. You don't even know what the meaning these terms have.

Exactly they are and i agree that i don't know the meaning of these big words.
quote
Concentrate on your studies and don't make lame comparisons.

I am Alhamdulillah fully concentrating on my studies and preparing for next exams and need the prayers of people like you. If these are lame comparisions then these threads are open for further discussion and i will be pleased to see your posts in these threads so that other misleaded students can be saved by you as you have done so much efforts to save other students previously. Regards, Muhammad Amir - kamranACA - 04-24-2008 Dear Amir, The issue is not of costs which have to be incurred for CA or ACCA. The issue is of returns after investing a reasonable time. This may not be an issue for the priviliged class who only wants to have some tag with their names. But this is a fact of life for the masses. You, as you normally do, again misinterpreted. If you believe in the worth of such efforts made by you and people wish you to do it through e-mails, then you must continue to do it. The judgement day (when you will be exposed to market conditions) is not far away. You are a brother to me and as such my all prayers are for you. Regards, KAMRAN. - Muhammad Amir - 04-25-2008 -- |
