Starting career in Finance - zeshan - 02-02-2009 Hi I did graduation(4yrs) in Information Technology. I took the decision of pursuing a finance career and leave the field of computers near the end of my graduation. For the purpose I started MBA(Finance) and am in the final semester. One of the bizarre hurdle for my career is at graduation end I started my job not related to any of my studies, just for the purpose of earning. My CV is a complete recipe for disaster i.e. graduation, masters and job all in different fields. I am also eyeing a professional qualification (CMA/CFA) depending on scope. I want to startoff from scratch in finance but one thing confuses me is which subfield do I choose, how do I evaluate my strengths. Also how and which organizations should I reach having the above conflicts of fields in mind. How do I approach the interviewers while defending my decisions.
