Moving from ACCA to CA - aimaad22 - 03-03-2009 Salam, After reading the title of this thread Im sure a lot of you thought' Oh no! Not another ACCA v CA!' So let me assure you, this is not about that![)] Im an ACCA student in Islamabad, by the grace of Allah, Ive passed my fundamentals in the first attempt and now looking forward to becoming an affiliate within a year. Therefore Ive vaguely started thinking about my future now, you know, articleship etc. Ive always wanted to do CA i.e ICAP. Im aware that an ACCA has to clear only modules E and F of ICAP along with the articleship. My question is, is this rule for affiliates or full ACCAs? I hope its affiliates!! Also, does anybody have an idea on how much time the application process etc into ICAP through this route will take and what would be the ideal time for me to apply? Im sure a lot of you know about the rumors that ACCAs need first time passes to get into the Big 4, is this also true for ACCAs applying for articleship as CA inters? I shall be very grateful for any replies to my questions or any other advice/suggestions the experienced members of this forum might have to go about my proposed career path. - aimaad22 - 03-10-2009 Anyone? |
