S.M. ZAFAR SLAMS PM PHONING CJ - javed - 05-27-2010

According to a news item the most honourable Mr. S.M. Zafar expressing his concern over the PM telephoning My Lordship Chief Justice of Pakistan observed that it was the first time that the civil society has realized that it was a stakeholder. He adds that this realization is a big change and he terms it as a new Pakistan. He feels the media played a big role in this “awareness” (realization as of stakeholder). Another notable writer Yousuf Nazar in his today’s article entitled “Hamid Mir saga” says that “we should trust our people, their intelligence, their political consciousness that they can distinguish between news from propaganda etc.

My eyes catch word S.M. Zafar with great respect. During early 80s he used to write weekly articles. One sentence of his article changed the life of this then middle aged citizen. In his column he stated that no parliament, no democracy, no system, no socialism or any ism can deliver to the people unless they themselves started struggling for their own personal individual rights. This sentence changed the life of me and this senior citizen is always in-debited to him for this pearl of wisdom. From that day I did not stop protesting on any injustice to me including sometime on others with the result today almost all my genuine work like in banks, telephone, post office get smoothly done as concerned there knew well I will officially protest and struggle for it. I never met S.M. Zafar in my life. However after his above public advice whenever I protested and struggled I endorsed a copy to him till end 90s on which he always appreciated my efforts and encouraged me. I can say without any hesitation that this senior citizen found him the only man whom whenever this stranger copied or addressed he invariably sometime through typed by his secretary or through his own handwriting he invariably responded. This morality is totally lacking from our today’s Senators, MNAs, Ministers etc.

Coming to the point, I am afraid Mr. S.M. Zafar’s views about the change in civil society thinking might be an old writing. After our civil society (of which of course I a part of) electing rather re-electing all the three candidates holding bogus degrees and failing the genuine degree holders, does the learned S.M. Zafar still thinks that the civil society has changed and got awareness? Do Yousuf Nazar, Roedad Khan etc who do not fail repeating that the civil society has woken up and has democratic consciousness still right from inside of their heart honestly hold the same views?

Dear ppl in our society have not any concern about degrees of anybody, they want solution of their problems and want a person who struggle for their right, as for as jamshed dasti is concerned as i know he is the most famous person in his jurisdication as he always get ready to help any one who give him a phone call even at mid night and his cell number is available to every person of his city and village, so thats y i dont beleive on degrees but on deliveries. how ever telling a lie is haram so i have no doubt about it. All other politiciation also tell lie and doesnt support thir voters dasti has at least one thing good that he supports and struggle for his voters.
