CMA or CGA? - Relocating - 08-22-2010 Hi Toronto Boy (anyone who can help) I have read a few of your replies and found them very helpful so i would like to ask something more related to my case. I am relocating to Canada from Dublin Ireland to get a professional accounting qualification. I have a degree in Personnel Mnagement and an MBA. I have contacted CMA Ontario and got some exemption. I am also eligible for the Accelerated programme which leads to the entrance exam then the SLP. Altough through my research, i have chosen to do the CMA cos i feel i am closer to the CMA than the CGA so i would like to know if i am making a bad decision as i do not know which of them will be more beneficial to me in Canada and at the long run. Also, i am moving to canada on a student visa and would like to know if anyone has information At the SLP programme of the CMA can i apply for/ will i get a work visa to enable me complete my 2 year SLP?? I might be wrong but i think it is more expensive and more time consuming to go for CGA but in your opinion which is the best? Thank you and i hope to hear from someone soonest. |
