Hi!I want to ask that anyone from PRE-Eng has ever managed to do CA?
Is it more difficult for them as compared to I.Com students?One more thing Can a Pakistani CA work abroad in Canada or Australia.Do they cosider this qualification!

Yes, there are various examples of people with Pre eng. bacground even with Pre medical background did CA without any problem. One interesting thing i would like to tell is that in the history of Punjab University, all the B.Com Toppers were of Science background, i.e. either they were Pre Eng. or Pre Med. but no I.Coms or FAs. Isn't it interesting??, what is the reason behind that??
the reason which i think is that the IComs are over-confident that they know accounting and other subjects very well, and how much they know accounting, it clears from their results. on the other hand the people with Science background pay more attention to all new subjects and perform well in the exams.

i'm from a science background (pre-engg) and by the grace of Allah i have managed to pass my first 3 modules in my first attempts (although i have a refer in module c-tax) but i haven't lost any time and am in module D (Insha Allah hoping to clear all my 5 papers)...
anyways... to answer your question... YES people from science background do clear their CA exams and from my personal experience i dont think i had any problems adjusting to any of the subjects!!!
P.S. i heard that Ms.Suhaab Mushtaq, the girl who managed to bag 3 ICAP gold medals was also from a science background... can anyone verify this???
