First of all Variants does not affect any ones professional career unless he wants to have some specialisation in particular field for example Pakistani Tax System.
De-Merits of PK Variant
-As said by you that you have studied CAT paper 9 with UK Variant so it will be a duplication of efforts to once again take classes of F6(PK Variant).
-If you start your F6 with PK Variant then you will almost kill you one optional paper from Optional Module of ACCA(i.e. P4 to P7) because there is no PK Variant available in P6(Advanced Taxation). So, after studying PK variant in F6 you will be having only 3 options in optional module while you friends who have completed their F6 with Uk Variant will be having 4 options(i.e. more variety).
-At the recruitment stage of any firm you will not be asked that in which variant you have passed your ACCA.
-There is no Substitute of UK-Tax system in the world; especially the Tax Planning aspect of the UK Taxation is unique feature and if you have studied P6 then it will be much easier for you to grasp any structured Tax system in the world(i.e. your learning potential for Taxation will be increased).
-In an interview your prospective employer will never ask you about what variants you have accomplished you ACCA.
-It will be ludicrous to have 'PK' sort of things in UK-based Qualification.
