The Federal Government has issued this notification amending preamble of SRO 509(I)/2007 dated 09.06.2007. After this amendment zero-rating of sales tax is restricted to goods specified in the Table to the parent notification provided that these goods after their import or domestic production are sold / purchased between persons registered as manufacturers-cum-exporters or as exporters for use or utilization in goods meant for export. In other words the scope of zero-rating of sales tax is restricted to sale / purchase of these goods (specified in the notification) by the manufacturer cum exporter or exporters
