ACCA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Organisation for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).
Under the terms of the agreement, ACCA and SOCPA will work together in areas such as corporate governance, technical research and advice, quality assurance, forensic accounting, issues for small and medium-sized practices, and continued professional development.
Both bodies will also collaborate on the development of technical events in Saudi Arabia that will bring benefits to members of both organisations, who will be invited to attend relevant meetings, events and seminars held by other bodies.
'We are delighted to be able to sign this agreement with SOCPA, a professional body for whom we have the highest regard,' said Stephen Shields, ACCA head of corporate development, Middle East. 'ACCA looks forward to working closely with SOCPA in future to develop a number of exciting initiatives and to share experiences and expertise for the benefit of the profession in Saudi Arabia and across the region.'
