SRO # 274

FBR issued an SRO # 274 which showed that many of the products are now "Zero Rated".
In SRO#274 it is stated that in preamble of SRO # 509 after the word "as" the word "manufacturers” shall be inserted but in SRO # 509 i couldn't find the word "as". I read SRO # 525 & 621 but not found in these SRO's too. So, what does it mean?

The Federal Government has issued this notification amending preamble of SRO 509(I)/2007 dated 09.06.2007. After this amendment zero-rating of sales tax is restricted to goods specified in the Table to the parent notification provided that these goods after their import or domestic production are sold / purchased between persons registered as manufacturers-cum-exporters or as exporters for use or utilization in goods meant for export. In other words the scope of zero-rating of sales tax is restricted to sale / purchase of these goods (specified in the notification) by the manufacturer cum exporter or exporters

Preamble of SRO 509 after second amendment

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of section 4 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990, and in supersession of the Notification No. S.R.O. 525(I)/2006, dated the 5th June, 2006, the Federal Government is pleased to notify the goods specified in column (2) of the Table below, falling under the PCT Heading No. mentioned in column (3) of the said Table, to be the goods on which sales tax shall be charged at the rate of zero per cent on the supply and import thereof, If these goods after import or domestic production are sold or purchased between persons registered as manufacturer, manufacturers-cum-exporters or as exporters, for use or utilizaiton in goods meant for export, namely–

Ye amendment nahi hay, SRO-283/2011 nay supersede kar diya hay SRO-509 ko.
Layhaza ab SRO-509 khatam ho chukka hay.
