<br />For a hospital, should the hospital beds be treated as Plant asset or Inventory or both?

Treated as both that I don't think can be the case. Beds for a hospital should be treated as Property, plant & equip provided they meet the capitalization criteria, in this case the flow of economic benefits for more than one year. Normally the beds have a useful life of more than one year and they are capitalized unless are kept for trading purpose.
