Dear Sajjad,
People who DAY-TRADE here by buying & selling shares @ the speed of light do LOOSE all their money. (In the case of ur example the 100).
For example,
Using Rs 100,000 I they buy shares worth Rs 300,000. If they get stuck (due to lock mechanism which halts trading), & the share price plunges by 33%, they LOOSE all their MONEY !!! ....If it plunges even further...then they become debtors to the broker !!!
Nowadays, it is still better. But before the market crash of Mar 2005, you could purhcase securities worth Rs 5 lacs on ur own money of 1 lac !!! That is 5 times over !!! In tht case, the share price had to go down only 20% before u are wiped out completely !! This is what happened in MAr 2005, when several ppl bought OGDC @ 190+ & then were unable to sell it, till Rs 118. People even had to sell their houses to pay back their loan & this is why the property market also crased. Now IF all this is NOT Gambling, what is it ???? Do "Investors" loose all their money & then have to sell their homes to pay back debt???
