Pracs I don't think that things have been figured out.
Maani I never said suggesting accountancy to everyone. And, I agree case here is "what others are is doing is what we should do". I too don't like this at all. The reason for this sort of attitude here is may be we don't have a lot of options in Pakistan, and even people are not aware of the limited options.
So this was not we were talking about. The question remains there. Is it a good suggestion for someone who is willing to do CA to come through ACCA route?
I don't know how student's apptitude, caliber, mathematical skills(i think so),and commitement.. can determine that weather he should start CA directly or come through ACCA.
I beleived that starting CA through ACCA should be a rule of thumb, the question remains there, and I did not find anything in Maani's post leading to any sort of conclusion.
