<br />DEAR FRIENDS,
MY NAME IS IMRAN HASNAIN I DID M.COM, M.B.A. AND DCMA. I AM LIVING IN SHARJAH UAE I READ THE MAIL OF MY DEAR FRIEND MR. ASIF IN WHICH HE GIVE A STATEMENT THAT WHAT THE MBA,S WANT TO PROVE.
MY EXPERIENCE IN UNITED ARAB EMIRATES IS THAT THERE IS A MATTER OF LUCK REGARDING YOUR STATUS IN THE ORGANIZATION NOT THE THE QUALIFICATION.
HERE IN DUABI EVEN A BCOM IS THE HEAD OF ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT AND CA IS WORKING UNDER HIM. WHAT WE WILL SAY
EVEN MY EARNINGS ARE MORE THAN THE EARNINGS OF A CA. BUT HERE ACCA QUALIFIACTION IS CONSIDERED BETTER THEN THE CA OF PAKISTAN.
AND EVEN CA OF INDIA IS PREFERRED THEN A CA OP PAKISTAN.
THE THING IS ALL THESE QUALIFICATION HAVE THEIR OWN WORTH. BUT REGARDING EARNINGS IS DEPENDS ON YOUR LUCK AND THE BLESSINGS OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH.
BEST REGARDS,
IMRAN HASNAIN.

Imran so how is Dubai these days ? I am not trying to negate your ACCA Vs. CA (Pak) comparison, there may be some merit to it, depending on the employer and the person who is being hired, I took up my first job in Dubai in a Big4, and signed my contract before my CA final result came out,, the hiring partner who is an FCCA said he was least bothered with my CA results a I was an ACCA already !! but must say there is a thin line in preference because it boils down to RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and CORE SKILLS.
What I would like to 'oppose' and not agree tooth and nail is the fact that Indian CAs are preferred over Pakistani CAs.. is absolutely rubbish, they are not paid more than Pakistani CAs I have seen Indian CAs accepting on AED 3,500 (two years ago), ofcourse there will be little difference in Pakistani and Indian CAs, ACCAs with Big4 backgrounds. You may find a lot of them snazzing the market because there are quite a few Indian owned and run businesses in Dubai of all the places in Gulf.
