I dont know what one can call as mental disturbance. Sometimes the people theirselves declare some of their very "beloved" ulemas as mentally disturbed and some times they use this word for the one who dont agree to their opinion. I dont know how they assess the mental disturbances. Might the personally need some check-up.
Anyways, this does not has any affect.
Israrhere sahib, thank you for your post pinpointing my weaknesses. I once before clarified that I did not mean to allege all the pathan qaum as gays. If it appeared from my first words, I subsequently clarified, and agreed to the words of Miss Coollioness that good and bad exist every where. Infact, she in her earlier posts, was saying that the most of the nobality exists in NWFP, as u are also comparing it to Karachi and Lahore in same fasion. In response to her ultimate conclusion of nobaility of this qaum, I just remined her that tis area has a specific allegation from whole of Pakistan regarding such sexual perversions. Of course this does not mean that every Pathan was a gay Naoozbillah. Basically this discussion started about those who are involved in bomb attacks and who mainly belong to NWFP specially MALAKAND and MAHMAND agencies. If you have visited these areas, you should know that these agencies are the base camp area for most of the the beautiful northen parts of our country like swat, maingora, sedu-shareef, kalam, chitral, shindoor, bhareer, bhambort vallies etc. Coollioness appeared to me as se was favoring the people who are behind such attcks. (This may not be her objective and could be my mis-understanding).
Due to this I just explained her that these people are humans like other Pakistanies and should not be deemed as much much superiorer. Of course so much could be wrong in other provinces and areas but if some area exclaims or is emphasized by us to be very much true muslim, then the people of such area should remove the impediments of their society. I am sorry but I really dont see any improvement in the behaviour of such people. I again say that sexual perversions, smuggling, killings, Narcotics, robberies, explosions, suicidal attacks, illegal ammunition and illetracy etc are so many problems which exist mainly in this area if we compare with whole of Pakistan. This is not just one example as you said in your post. It is not so simple.
However, if we conclude that they are common muslims like other Pakistanies and are somewhere at mistake in their ideas (like suicidal attacks, illetracy and rigidty) then I dont have any objection as far as my view point is concerned. I just dont agree to portray them (all without seggregating) as Waliallahs.
I know problems and illdoings could also be the part of other areas of my country and may also be praivaling in other muslim world as well. But we dont just emphasize specifically any of them as the most true and strict muslims. Mashallah every where good muslims exist, in Karachi, in Lahore, in Islamabad, in Peshawar and in every other area. This is not specific to any qaum or any area.
I once again tell you Israr, I totally agree that good and bad exist every where. I also clarify that when I talked about bad deeds of that specific area, it was just to explain you people that by considering them perfect muslims, one must not conclude that bomb explosions are very much rightful thing for them as some of our fellow members are overwhelmingly trying to prove. They are humans like us and are more illiterate if we compare the masses. If they are wrong in something we must not prove to satisfy our inner feelings that they are Mashallah very much true muslims and any good or bad act done by them is correct becoze they have beared faces, short shalwars and cap on their heads and say five time prayers. Islam surrounds much more than simply these things. Islam is a perfect and complete code of life. The elements of saying prayers, having beared faces, short shalwars etc is a very good thing but is a religious act and cannot be deemed to be refelection of the whole life's code.
The physical appearance as per sunnah is very good. It is to follow the body. But so much is also to follow the soul. We ignore it at all. We forget that killings of innocents in whatever revenge is not in Islam. It is rather totally against the Islam. This is the thing which has been also endorsed by the Ulema-e-karam at various occusion. Check the statements of all the big names of Ulemas who are not running behind the SEATS, POWER AND MONEY.
If a beared person or offerer of five times prayer will commit a bad act, it will by no means become the good act. This is what I tried to explain but things became too much complex.
So Mr. Israr, now I think you may find my words a better reflection of what I was wsihing to explain.
