I don't think such comments of government deserve to have any attention paid to them. Govt. has committed a lot of mistakes last year. And I guess most of us can realise that it is almost certain that Musharraf's days are over. I can bet that now its just a matter of months.
At this point of time the focus of Pakistanis should be on national integrity. For me it beyond any doubt that this political weakening in Pakistan has been deliberately created by some foreign elements. Bias between provinces had always been there, the flames are being fueled. The general centiments against the govt. and army are being used for weakening of federation. I don't have much doubts that who was responsible for assassination of Benazir and burning of Sindh in one night. We should be aware of these facts and untill Pakistanis are united no one can think of providing us any harm, but if we expose our weaknesses ourselves, then we should be aware of the fact that this world is not generous enough to let the weaker nations survive. I am sure that this is not the fate of Pakistan, but why are we letting others think of any such thing.
Kamran your reservation that integrity in Pakistan can't be acheived under the army of flag must be releaved to some extent after recent announcement of Gen Kyani. I guess most of us are aware of the fact that Musharraf was forced to leave the army by army men. So it seems army is trying to pull back from politics.
From all this I am trying to conclude that what we require is national consenses. Passion for sacrificing. Messaging love. Forebearance as mentioned by Kamran. We are not Punjabis, Sindhis, Pakhtoons, Balochs, Muhajars or Kashmiris, we are just Pakistanis, the people of smaller provinces must realise this fact and should not let the opinion of a small anti-pakistan minority prevail. Coming elections are very crucial, though I am totally against PPP, but in these elections I would like to see them making the govt.
May Allah strengthen our beloved motherland.
Regards
Shoaib
