Dears,

There is no argument that CFA is one of the best specializations of the financial sector.

However I don't agree that there had been major lay offs in Pakistani banks. We, however, saw lay offs by some foreign banks like citibank.

I may also clear that noone of banks at Pakistan and specially Pakistani banks laid off any CA for the reason of any crises. There is not a single example of such lay off any where across the whole sector. This must be understood before making comparisons.

Further, there would be a very small number of CFAs hired by banks here since the outset of our banking history and specially during the current economic downfall such hiring, if any, would be quite fewer.

I am just clarifying the situation and this by no means should be construed as some remarks against CFA.
