Although not connected with the query; but I believe on judgment day we will have a reference to get in Allah's Jannah and we will use that reference.

Imam Hassan (R.A) said (in apparently valid things), accept and take what is acceptable to your interior and leave/ignore what is not.
I think you should apply this wise saying, if are struck in such a decision.
