Your status in England is a big question. However, if you get some sort of financing, you may start a formal degree.
ICAEW is a good choice, but remember you need experience in authorized training office for satisfaction of ICAEW experience requirement, which may be a hurdle later on.
ACCA accepts general industry experience. So you may complete ICAEW after ACCA. If you could not, at-least you would have ACCA.
