Dear Toronto_Boy
I am thinking of migrating to Canada, but am really nervous that I'll be unemployed for several months if I do accepted for immigration. Really need to ask you some questions. Some background about myself
I am a US CPA, with US bachelors and masters degrees. I have a total of seven years works experience in accounting, of which two were specifically in audit (E&Y) and five are in accounting.
My questions
1. I know I have to sit for the CARE to qualify for the Canadian CA, but will I be granted the CA desigantion given that I only have two years of audit experience?
2. Assuming I don't get the CA designation, how easy (or hard) is it for a US CPA with US work experience to get a job in Canada?
Doesn't matter how well-qualified anyboy is, starting a new life in a foreign country is extremely difficult. Appreciate any advice that you can give.
Regards.
