As you said, starting a new life in new country is not easy. But I think your case is quite strong as you would be moving from US and have US experience. You may sort out details of CARE with CICA. If you are currently in States, you may start job hunting/ phone interviews from there.
Canadian job market is more difficult, less paying, and having more taxes as compared to States. But again, in my view, you should be fine due to US experience and qualification, except initial transitional moving difficulties.
