people are crying because now if (suppose) S.tax is levied on 10 items, VAT will be implemented on (suppose)100 items.
Govt is saying that they are actually decreasing the tax rate to 15 percent, so the prices will bring down.
yes..i agree..but the prices of only those items will be decreased 1% which are already in the S.Tax orbit.
but in case of goods, which are not currently in the S.Tax orbit, the prices of such goods will increase 15%
