Well,you put me in an awkard position......I mean you mentioned some of the reasons why you don't celeberate birthdays & at the end you also urged me not to argue since you are not a mufti.
So,dear let me tell you that I too am not a learned person but let me tell you what I know so that this might benefit you & yes me,not looking for arguments.
Birthdays are not forbidden for sake of celebrating so why do some scholars discourage it??
First,it must be noted that celebrating birthdays of particular personalities is not allowed as this may lead to idol worship & majority of scholars agree on this.
Celebrating one's own birhtday is dicouraged because of the practices that are done which makes it forbidden for e.g music,wishes,mingling of sexes,.....etc. So if one remains within islamic limits then it's allowed.
