The education system in Pakistan is very well explained by other members, but I would like to add that it is not different from the education system prevailing in India in major.

Now coming to the Film industry, the Bollywood is very famous in Pakistan bcaz the Bollywood Movies are the result of inspiration from Hollywood, and Lollywood Movies are prepared by sense of inspiration from Bollywood.
Due to above reason, the people who watch Hollywood movies dont like bollywood moviews,
and People liking bollywood movies consider lollywood movie crap.
Indian Movie's songs are very much popular in Pakistan.
You can guess the popularity of indian movies in pakistan that almost every Kid is aware of the Shahrukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Aishwariya etc.

thanx for explainin the education system in detail.. well in india it's pretty much the same.. but the preferences of students from various parts of india is very different.. ur friends from the US will be tell u the american software industry is flooded with south indian engineers.. every south indian state produces engineers in thousands each year.. however up north the students prefer commerce and arts!!

by the way lollywood's a new term i jus learnt didnt know lollywood was the pak film industry... nwayz.. do keep posting.. wud love to hear anything any of u hafta say bout pakistan..
