Well i just wanted to say if u wana go to UK then ACCA is much better and is much more achievable too. I suggest u to go for ACCA. I f ur academics are good (above75% in SSC and HSSC)u can apply in LUMS for BSC.
It will open new horizens to u and u can go anywhere in the world with a challenging degree at ur disposal... but if u still wana join accounts profession i sugesst u to go for ACCA cause u are going to be a british national.
these are ur options ... all urs

Umair and Sohana,
I would just like to add some thing that may have been overlooked by you and other members of this forum,
1. Just having a British education wouldn't suffice in getting a descent job in the UK. The greatest hurdle is to impress the employer that you have qualities or you can add value to their firm which no body in the UK or the EU could offer. This is very difficult to prove these days with alot of competition from domestic candidates.
2. It may be a very harsh but the matter of fact is LUMS or IBA is not that well reknowned to many employers in London. Therefore, the market that these institutions have in Pakistan is not comparable to what they have in London, unfortunately. Having said that I do respect their research and teaching standards and would definately recommend them over many institutions in Pakistan.
3. On par, I would say that ACCA may be slightly better if you get the opportunity to complete the later stages with an employer in UK. I'm not saying that it would be an easy task but if you do get that opportunity then that would be awesome.
4. However, if you really want a graduate trainee contract from a top tier London based employer then I think you have only 1 choice, i.e. get a degree from a top tier UK institution. You can do it in two ways, one is more expensive than the other - ofcourse the one which is more expensive have better chance for success
a. Get a good BSc. from LUMS, i.e. 80% above overall marks, and try to get admission in a MSc. programme at a top-tier university.
b. Get admission in a BSc. programme in a top-tier university - this depends on your academic record so far. Usually you should be aiming for ABB-AAA in good traditional A Levels or their equivalents.
Good Luck in your career and educational endeavours.
