Results from the latest ACCA exams show that more than 6,000 trainees from around the world successfully completed their final papers to become affiliates and move closer to their goals of achieving ACCA membership.
More than 196,000 students sat ACCA exams in June, taking over 384,000 papers. The results reveal that 6,213 students successfully completed their final ACCA exams, with a further 2,930 students completing the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) exams.
'In the challenging economic environment it is vital that ACCA maintains the technical excellence of its exams and therefore the quality of its members who will be providing professional guidance and advice to thousands of businesses. We will continue to focus on ensuring that students have the best possible resources to enable them to progress through ACCA's internationally recognised exams,' said Clare Minchington, ACCA executive director â learning and products.
'We are pleased to see that performance in the Fundamentals Paper F5, Performance Management continues to improve as a result of the package of support that we put in place for this paper. Over the coming year we will be adopting the same approach towards the Fundamentals Paper F7, Financial Reporting and look to see students' financial reporting skills improving as a consequence,'
'We congratulate the 6,213 trainees who have now completed their ACCA exams and we look forward to welcoming them to ACCA membership on completion of their practical experience requirements and professional ethics module. We would also like to congratulate those who completed the CAT exams,' said Clare Minchington.
