If you want to do MBA in Accounting and Finance then you should rather go for a professional accountancy qualification. ANYONE can do general and Executive MBA after finishing their degrees or qualifications, even an engineer. These teach you management and strategic level skills which are required if you want to be at the top level of management hierarchy. It caps your existing qualifications
Through which route should i join ACCA?? Graduation or MSER?? which will be more comfortable?? kya B.Com (2yrs) wale student bhi Grad route se join kr sakte hain ya nhi??? kyun k meine B.com 2yrs kiya hua hai...
Meine suna hai k MSER se join karo to pehle F2 or F3 clear karna must hai jab k Grad route se join karo to aisi koi requirement nhi plz answer!
i don't think you will get any exemptions on the basis on your 2yr B.com. you will anyways have to sit and pass F2 and F3. if you had a 4yr B.com degree you may have been exempted from papers F1 to F4.
with a 2yr B.com degree you will be eligible for registration to the ACCA qual but there will be no exemptions available to you.
Dear Komaliqbal,
U should start ACCA via graduation route.MSER is for those who r 21 years old and don't have prerequisite qualification to start ACCA(i.e A levels,CAT,Graduation).
I also started after 2 year Bcom.
Yes it is true that all MSER r required to pass F2 and F3 first(called MMA and MFA for MSER's I guess). After passing these they can move forward.Regular candidates have no such compulsion
Dear rabia-k,
For 4 years degree holders exemptions r not restricted to 4.LUMS's BA hons in accounting and finance can get 5 exemptions in ACCA(F1 to F5).There r few foreign university degrees which get upto 9 papers exempted.
Dear rabia-k,
never heard any Pakistani university claiming 9 exemptions in ACCA yet.
Although university of Lahore's Bcom(hons) can claim 7 papers exemptions in ICAEW.
And I have already mentioned "LUMS" claiming 5 in ACCA.
@ Shani... Thanks alot for confirming me abt the above information which i mentioned in my previous post!
Did you mentioned anything in the ACCA registration form regarding your entry route...Can you plz tell me this coz i havn't gone through the ACCA registration process till now??
And also share ur ACCA experience after doing B.Com. May be it can help in my studies!
Dear komaliqbal,
my college provided me the form.I filled it accordingly as they guided me.I attached photocopies of my educational certificates and a photocopy of my passport. If u don't have ur passport then u can attach a copy of ur driving license or ur ID CARD(but u would be required to get ur ID CARD translated in English from the office of NOTARY PUBLIC because it is in Urdu).U should consult ur college. They will guide u properly.I paid my registeration fee to my college with the form and they forwarded it to ACCA.I received my registration card in about 35 days.
As far as study is , u should be able to handle F2 and F3 rather easily if u have done ur Bcom accounting subjects throughly.F1 to waise he easy paper hai.
There are no seperate forms for mature students. If you are aged 21 and don't provide any evidence of your academic/professional qualification you will automatically be registered as a MSER
