i hav the opportunity to join KPMG and the thing is i hav only heard talks abt it,can someone who has worked or works there tell me something abt its envoirment etc ??
so is high clientele a deciding factor i mean how much benefit does listed companies give in respect of carrer,PWC has large no. of NGOs...listed companies must appear better in CVs then NGos right?
I suppose more than the listed companies or the NGOs its the PWC or the KPMG badge that will matter more on your CV. In the current situation I personally believe PWC is a better option at-least in Pakistan.
However KPMG does have a very good & friendly environment, its a great learning experience. PWC can sometimes have a rigid culture (doesn't mean that's bad, can be helpful at times) where you have to be a thorough professional from the first day. This can be difficult if you have no prior work experience.
The bottom-line is, if you have an opportunity at KPMG. grab it!
Articles r meant to know how the knowldge shapes into reality bcz wht u learn s diffrnt frm wht u hv 2 do in real. So if u hv exprnce wth listed cos tht s an edge ovr others in terms of experience
ive many frnds in PWc as well as in kpmg... friends in KPMG did atleast 2-3 clients however many frnds at PWc r yet to come across any client.
Totally agree with you, that is what I meant a rigid culture. PWC has a lengthy training program before you are given a chance to deal with clients, but again some people find that more useful.
