salaam all,
hi aroon, i think tht if u want 2 persue ur career in pkistan, thn pakistani CA is a better option as compared 2 tht of australia or canada.
There is reciprocal arrangement between ICAA & ICAP as well as CICA & ICAP through which a CA from either Australia or Canada will need to pass the Law and tax papers of ICAP to obtain the CA qualification from pakistan. Therefore a CA from either Australia or Canada is better off in my books

I think worldwide a degree from Australia or Canada is more recognized.
I believe your academic credentials, i.e. your academic record, together with your transferable skills, are certainly much more regarded rather than a simple foreign degree, since at the end of the day, employers are more concerned with the work you do for them and certainly not your academic background.
I did not mean to say that a simple foreign degree is superior to a degree attained in pk , but if someone has same amt of academic
credentials, "Worldwide" it will be a more recognized if it is from a Canadian or Australian uni rather than from pk, I personally don't think that this is fair, but thats the way it is

I appreciate the contents of your post, but to further consolidate, I am quite sure that due to the globalisation, now your degree has to be from reputed foreign university, if you opt to go for international higher education.
Those days are certainly over, when even the 'name' of the foreign university on your resume impressed employers, since we all know now that there are some universities abroad that inevitably have lower record than even a medium reputed university of Pakistan.
